How to convert Manglish to ML-TT
Write in Manglish: malayaaLam → മലയാളം
Tap Copy ML-TT under the output box.
In Photoshop or CapCut, paste the text and choose an ML-TT font.
Type Malayalam in English letters (Manglish). Conversion happens live as you type, no button needed. The Manglish scheme is Mozhi, the same one Malayalam Wikipedia uses:
malayaaLam→ മലയാളം (capital L for ള)kEraLam→ കേരളംente→ എന്റെavan→ അവൻ (word-final n becomes chillu ൻ)avar→ അവർ
Use the Manglish / Inscript switch to change typing method, or open Keyboard for an on-screen Malayalam keyboard. Inscript uses the standard Malayalam Inscript layout.

- This site does not provide font downloads.
- Everything runs in your browser; nothing you type is uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
What is ML-TT?
ML-TT is an older Malayalam font encoding in which Malayalam letters are stored as ordinary Latin characters. Apps that cannot shape Malayalam Unicode can still show Malayalam when an ML-TT font is applied to that text.
Why does the output look like random English letters?
Because that is what ML-TT text is. It only looks like Malayalam after you apply an ML-TT font such as ML-TT Karthika to it.
Can I convert Malayalam Unicode text to ML-TT?
Yes. Paste Malayalam Unicode text into the input box and the ML-TT version appears in the output box straight away.
Does this site provide the ML-TT fonts?
No. This site does not offer font downloads. You need an ML-TT font installed or imported in your design app or editor.
How do I use the text in CapCut?
Copy the ML-TT output, add a text layer in CapCut, paste the text and choose an ML-TT font. The font must be imported into CapCut first, and on phones that works only if your version of CapCut supports custom fonts.
How do I use it in Photoshop?
Create a text layer, paste the ML-TT output into it and set the layer's font to an ML-TT font such as ML-TT Karthika.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs in your browser, so nothing you type or paste is sent to a server.
Why do some conjuncts such as സ്ത show a visible chandrakkala?
The old ML-TT encoding has no glyph for some conjuncts, so they come out as two letters joined by a visible chandrakkala (്). This is a limit of the encoding, not a typing mistake.
Is the converter free?
Yes, it is free to use and needs no sign-up.
